Jarrod's story
In 2013, we celebrated a major milestone by purchasing our first car. 2013 marks the year the 17J was born. In 2014 I was honored to be named the Limaland Rookie of Year for the Stock Car division. I received the NASCAR Youth Achievement Award in both 2014 and 2015, marking significant moments in my racing career.
At the end of 2015, our racing journey ended with us flipping our first car, which ultimately led to a total loss. However, we didn't let that setback hold us back; we built a new car for the 2016 season, which brought significant improvements to our team, including our first heat race wins and a dash for cash victory. After a tough 2017, where we faced engine troubles and financial constraints, sold the car and took a brief hiatus. In 2019, we bought our first modified and enjoyed two exciting seasons before returning to stock cars in 2021. By the end of 2022, we surrendered our racing to God, and on July 29th, 2022, we celebrated our first feature!
I decided that I wanted Jarrod Klay Racing to be more than just winning trophies. Jesus has made all the difference to me, so I want to give everything—including my car—to Him. Since 2022, we dedicated ourselves to sharing the gospel, distributing over 20,000 gospel tracts. In 2023 we celebrated four feature wins, all by God's grace. Our commitment to ministry remains strong as we transitioned into 2024, having purchased a top-quality modified and continuing to race with our Lightning Chassis. Join us as we strive to make a positive impact in the community with our passion for racing! We are diligently working with Lightning Chassis to build a 2025 PHX Modified and we are very excited for things to come!
